Godly Womanhood Mar 26
1 Peter 3:6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.
Peter discusses the importance of a woman having a meek and gentle spirit. He says this is of greater value than the external. The world judges a person by their figure and features, but the Lord looks on the inside and a sweet spirit is very precious to Him.
Sarah was given as an example for women to follow of godliness. She had a deep respect for her husband and let him lead in the relationship, but she was not weak. She was fearless in famine, travel, and difficulty; obtaining her first child in her 90s! Likewise a godly woman has unshakable faith no matter what odds stand against her.
