Upside down Apr 4

Isaiah 29:16 You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker, “He did not make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
God was warning the religious people about teaching by rules and trying to win the respect of people.  This is a heavy burden to put on anyone. Pride in man thinks he has God figured out and can fit him in a formula or doctrine.  However, in his self declaration that he can see, man is actually exposing his own near-sightedness.  Pride wants to change places with God and assumes God does not know what is going on or needs help, when in fact, the exact opposite is true.  Pride says that man is self-made and lives by that philosophy, but humility realizes that we come from God, are formed by God, and will go back to Him one day.  As we yield to this process, we give God the permission to form Himself in us so we can be a container He can fill and that is fit for His use.  It is then that we have sight to see His wonders and he can turn our world with the upside down from a life of self absorption to God awareness.
